Teacher recruitment announcement: We are actively recruiting teachers to implement our flexible, ready-to-use curriculum, developed by the University of Illinois Chicago and the University of Washington. This program is designed for real classrooms and requires minimal preparation. It helps students explore topics such as disability, urban design, and data science through service-learning.

Are your students struggling to get around the community because of poor sidewalk conditions? Are they facing challenges accessing vital services and employment due to hard-to-navigate ramps and pathways?

We have an exciting opportunity! Easterseals has partnered with the University of Washington and the University of Illinois at Chicago to launch a dynamic youth-focused workforce pilot program.

Through Project Sidewalk, participants will gain valuable skills in advocacy related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and sidewalk accessibility. They’ll also enhance their digital literacy, which is essential for career development, and boost their job readiness!

Don’t miss this vital opportunity to promote your student’s independence! For more information and to get involved, please contact KiAnna McKee-Steen @[email protected]. Let’s make a difference together!
