Participate in a Workforce Pilot Program Focusing on Accessible Sidewalks
Are your students struggling to get around the community because of poor sidewalk conditions? Are they facing challenges accessing vital services and employment due to hard-to-navigate ramps and pathways?
We have an exciting opportunity! Easterseals has partnered with the University of Washington and the University of Illinois at Chicago to launch a dynamic youth-focused workforce pilot program.
Through Project Sidewalk, participants will gain valuable skills in advocacy related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and sidewalk accessibility. They’ll also enhance their digital literacy, which is essential for career development, and boost their job readiness!
Don’t miss this vital opportunity to promote your student’s independence! For more information and to get involved, please contact Judy Shanley at [email protected]. Let’s make a difference together; let us know if you are interested!
